Been on the ecigs 3.5 weeks now, not had 1 single cigarette, no more cough, i can breathe far far easier and I have more cash left at the end of the week.
You can believe the lying FDA or ask ANYONE who has tried these smokes, Easiest way to give up smoking .. period.
FDA forgot to mention similar almost non-existant levels of ethylene glycol in other NRT forms, I can live without the benzene, tar and stench of ashtrays now.
Any ecig ban is about money, not health.

Actually I just looked on the website and it says E-Cigarettes work with a small rechargeable battery and a unique, safe, replaceable cartridge containing water, propylene glycol, nicotine, flavoring and a scent that emulates tobacco and other flavorings exclusive to No.7. When you inhale, it activates the atomizer which releases simulated smoke that is actually water vapor. So you are right it does contain ethylene glycol, I can't tell you if it's as bad as tar found in regular cigarettes.

@oregonwhitechick Ok thank you :) I get really confused due to all those people saying different things. Even video's of newspapers and agencies are saying different things :s So the glycol doesn't stay in your longs doesn't it?

    @r3inhout

Actually they have not proven nicotine is bad for the heart, it's just a theory, that could fit some of the facts, but nothing conclusive. Stating that it is for sure is irresponsible.

As for the propylene Glycol it has been being studied for a LONG time. Even the EPA has been all over it for everything even vapor. It can present a hazard with too many fog machines, but that's due to replacing oxygen with vapor, not the glycol itself.

@sWeEtSkItTlez Water vapor? you mean glycol vapor?? I want to know the truth about these things, I know it has no tar and so but glycol can be bad for your lungs too..It's not been investigated yet I think so..

@fantacmet I have a question about this glycol..They say it's safe to eat (together with the flavors) but no one ever investigated the effects on the longs (or am I ignorant?) I like the whole idea of smoking e-cigs but I don't already smoke so if it's not 100% safe (besides the nicotine, which is bad for your heart; but so are power drinks) I wont suck it in my longs ether ;)

Man the AP needs to get it's facts straight before they make BS news reports.

Idiots! Smoking e-cigs will cost you only a percentage of the analogs! And it will give you no coughing,no smell and no cancer. So please wake up!!
Caffeine, from drinking coffee, will cause cancer too. But, again, only if you drink 520 liters a day in 325 years. Are you clever or are you an idiot?

I got the Green Smoke ecigarette and really like them! Being addicted seems better (to me) than suckin in the poisonous tars and chemicals.

Unknown long term health risks. Lets check this out for a minute shall we? The FDA has already said that Nicotine in and of itself while addictive has no health risk. Granted if you overload it you can get nicotine poisoning but it takes alot, you can also get water poisoning. Speaking of Which water is ingredient number 2. The flavoring is that already being used in food accross the country. Propolene Glycol also is reported safe and even HEALTHFUL by the FDA and EPA. It's about money.

now WTF kind of bullshit is this? The FDA needs a huge beatdown pretty soon. That's horseshit about e-juice containing cancer causing chemicals. What, PG, nicotine and flavors? If you're that bothered just dont buy Chinese then and keep it American. Why the fuck don't the FDA just step in and regulate the juice production instead of talkin shit about antifreeze.

@edezwer no, the cancer from smoking regular cigarettes is due to the tar they produce. The only by product of e cigarettes is 99% water vapor and 1% mixture of nicotine and other non-carcinogenic chemicals.

It's the standard "Im going to lose money" vested interest misinformation from the tobacco bigwigs and other dickheads saying ecigs are bad. E-cigs are AWESOME! Even if they were bad for you they can't be as bad as real cigarrettes. Ive looked up every ingredient in a ecig cartridge and seems ok. And what's this whining that they contain nicotine? OF COURSE they contain nicotine, they are cigarettes. They're not friggen E-candycanes.

I'd hit that shit!!!! The worse thing about reg cigs is the carbon monoxide binding with hemoglobin resulting in shortness of breath...These are way smarter than reg cigs, although quitting nicotine altogether is the smartest move....But WHO CARES...As humans our lives are EXTREMELY mundane and trivial...In 3 million years(if we make it) i doubt people are gonna remember even Jesus' name......

This is nothing more than a misinformed smear campaign for e-cigarettes after the FDA produced a flawed study. Not one reputable brand is advertising them as "SAFE" they are advertising them as "SAFER" than regular tobacco cigarettes. And they are not targeted towards kids or non smokers either, its a replacement for regular tobacco cigarettes and to help with oral fixation that's formed after years of smoking. I started 8mg nicotine carts and now use 0mg carts, NO NICOTINE.
