    nice video except the thing about the ppl who smoke only when they go out... they do that out of 2 things "coolness" and "having something to go with that beer" so they are not addicted, if they wouldnt go out > they dont smoke. I dont smoke. Nice video (tough i didnt see till end).

    1 year today :) I have no desire to ever smoke again, I'm just glad I'm on the other side of it all now... have confidence in yourselves, you only have to quit once :)

    I was 11 when I started smoking and 46 when I stopped. I smoked 40 on the Sunday (as per usual), went to bed Sunday night and haven't had one since.

    how old were you when you starting smoking, and how old were you when you quit ?

    No.....why would I lie to myself about the worst Hell Ive ever gone through ...Cigs were a easy to give up...I dont know WHY you would think I am lying. Did you know you can DIE from the physical WITHDRAWAL from an Opiate??? If you dont believe that look it up (id give you a link but things dont post if you do...nonetheless if you absolutaly CANT find one on your own I will try to bypass it by writing the link differently) Ive never heard of anyone dying from cigarrete withdrawel!!!!

    @frankensteinmoneymac Your lying to yourself...

    No offense but your sister is looney LOL! Opiates are the strongest physically adictive substance known...my experience from sudden withdrawal from Pain Pills include horrible halucination, psychotic thinking, Feeling as if you NEED more pills or you will die (similiar to holding your head underwater until you HAVE to come up for air..except more intense), etc. There is simply NO comparison to anything else Ive ever experienced. Perhaps she meant it was harder because cigs R easier to find.

    Hi there - the reason I used that comparison is because my sister-in-law was a heroin addict (after becoming addicted to morphine following a terrible motorcycle accident). She got off heroin eventually - but she couldn't stop smoking. She told me that trying to give up smoking was 100 times harder than coming off heroin. She still smokes! I don't have personal experience with Opiates so I reported her comments as told directly to me. Agreed comparisons don't help you stop though. J

    Sure, Nicotine hits the brain faster than Heroin...but that does not really have any meaning.Its not how fast it hits...just how powerful the addictive quality is.. Comparing Heroin to Nicotine is really quite silly, and honestly (no offense to the poster) Im kind of sick of the comparision. Trust me I smoke & Ive been addicted to painpills (Active ingrediant synthasized from Opium, what Heroin is made from). There is NO comparision...it is like comparing a WWI bi-plane to a Stealth Bomber

    Luckily - no I don't have any smoking related illnesses. I am so grateful that I don't have a cough at all now! (It used to be really bad). Yes I agree about the definition of junkie - but I was using it in a more "general" manner where the terms "junkie" and "drug addict" are used to mean the same thing - not just specifically with heroin. It just resonated with me - I don't want to be either - and all smokers are drug addicts. They just happen to be addicted to a legal drug - nicotine! J

    Do you have any smoking related illnesses (emphysema, COPD, cancer)? I like how you put smoking as being a "junkie", but it's not entirely true. A junkie is someone that is addicted to heroin, a nickname for heroin is junk.
