Thanks for the review. I just placed my order for a Screwdriver. I hope the battery holds up to your 5-6 hour projection for heavy Vapers, (I can kill my Evo batteries in a hour and a half). You really helped me get over the fence.

This is an excellent unit: I bought it because I was fed up with having to keep recharging my 901s when out. It does seem a bit out of order having to ask for a spare plug point! This produces a little more vapour than my normal 901s but just as long as I get a similar amount of vapour to that of an 'analogue' then I'm a very happy bunny.

Thanks Scott for all your very helpful reviews. All the best.

Holy crap, i just checked the price on this thing. It's a rediculous amount of money.

Get a silver bullet or a bb from altsmoke
It's 99 bucks, is pretty much indestructable, and you can vape at 3.7v or 6v

I can't believe how much they charge for this. Very expensive

I suggest a silver bullet if your in the usa
    It's really hardcore

Sure I realize that Scott but some of them can handle multiple voltages. Anyway the reviews you do are a great service to the E-cig world and please keep them coming. I can't thank you enough for all I have learned from your videos.

    Regards,
    Derek

    hi mate,

but what i mean is that its unfair to compare it to a 6v mod when it runs on the same voltage as a regular e-cig.
a 6v mod will always give more vapour and throat hit than a e-cig / mod running on a regular 3.7 voltage.

i believe the reason for the "mk2" was because of demand. Trog could not make them quick enough by hand and so teamed up with TW to get them mass produced.
price......well that is none of my business. i just review them!
    cheers,
    scott

    Also Scott,

What I meant in my 1st reply earlier to you is how can people not compare it to the other products you listed ? The SD is not it's own Ecig it's a MOD for a 901 for extended battery life just as the others are as well but offer more flexibility.

    Hi Scott,
Yes, I absolutely know that both were made by Trog and his intention made sense when it 1st came out but to come out with a MKII version and not do anything to make it better than it was before makes no sense.Having some updated features would give more legitamacy to it's pricing as well.

Then there could be 2 versions, one at a cheaper price and the updated one higher

All of the many other products out now can do what this does and a whole lot more for a whole lot less money.

    hi mate,

you do realise that Trog made the original SD too!

the new SD and the original SD were both made by Trog with the sole intention of giving a 901 e-cig user better battery life and a manual switch.

honestly mate, its not trying to be anything other than a run of the mill e-cig with great battery life. when i say about comparing it to a 901, 801 rather than the prodigy, chuck etc im referring to voltage, vapour production and throat hit etc.

    cheers,

    scott

Hi Scott, Great review as always and thanks so much for all of the info
I have learned from you since I started 6 weeks ago. IMO Trogs comment is a cop out answer because it is actually nothing more than a MOD - It's not like he created his own atomizer to be compared with 901,801 or 510 - It's a battery mod from the original plain and simple just like the others listed above that have many more features/benefits at a much lower price.

Great review as always. I actually like the silver bullet more then this since theres a protected 6v option.

    hi mate,

ive not got the CR123 batts from deal extreme but ive just tried one of the CR123 batts that my prodigy uses and it still vapes just as well..........though the batts are actually thinner than the SD batts and rattle a little.

but ive just read on a forum that the cheap batts for the SD MK2 are the "Ultrafire XSL 18350" which cost about $6.00 for 2. but they are unprotected.

    cheers,

    scott

    hi mate,

id say its pretty much the same as the draw on a 510 or 901. its just a really nice vape with great battery life :)

    cheers,

    scott

Is it easier to pull than the 510? I mean do you get more air through it than the 510?

but will the MK2 fit the protected CR123a batts from DX?

The length of these new MK2 batts are the same length as protected CR123a batts or unprotected CR123a batts from DX?

Is there a difference between these special MK2 batts and DX protected CR123a batts.

    Thanks scott.

    hi mate,

yep, that pretty much sums it up! and that is what its designed to do (according to the creator - Trog)

    cheers,
